From the stunning natural beauty of our country to the rich cultural heritage and resilience of our people, I was surrounded by a world of wonder and discovery. The whole city would come alive with music, dance, and color, as we celebrated the beauty and diversity of our country. My parents would talk about the struggles our country had faced, from the civil wars to the struggles against narco-trafficking. But despite the challenges, they'd also talk about the resilience and strength of the Colombian people, and the ways in which we'd always managed to come together and support one another.
