In the sprawling, blocky universe of Minecraft, the interface is the window to the world. For years, players have navigated inventories, managed sprawling chests, and fought off mobs using the standard Vanilla User Interface (UI). While functional, the default Minecraft UI leaves much to be desired for the efficiency-hungry player. This is where mods come into play, and few are as deceptively simple yet transformative as UI Utils.

Vanilla also lacks customization. You cannot move the position of your hotbar, you cannot change the transparency of your chat window, and inventory backgrounds are static.

In standard Minecraft, moving items is a binary experience. You can click to pick up a stack, click to place it, or hold shift to move it quickly. But what if you want to move exactly half a stack? You have to manually split it. What if you want to move all items of a specific type (like all cobblestone) from a chest to your inventory? In Vanilla, you must manually shift-click them one by one, or spam the shift-click hoping to catch them all.
