The legend told of a default Steve character with blank, white eyes who would stalk players from the fog, creating strange tunnels and pyramids that the player never built.
This version has been popularized through fictional "analog horror" storytelling. In these stories, downloading the V1.0.16-02 APK unlocks a corrupted version of the game where the environment changes, text messages appear in chat without input, and the game attempts to "trap" the player.
